We launched a mentorship program with Humber College that pairs brokers with Insurance Management students. We expanded the program to include Centennial, Fanshawe and Conestoga Colleges, driving ambitious new talent to choose the broker channel as a career path. We started a bursary program that covers the cost and facilitates college students obtaining their RIBO license. And we ran a digital marketing campaign that promotes the benefits of choosing a career as a broker.
To keep new talent coming into Ontario’s broker channel, we’re hosting two Virtual Career Fairs February 10th and March 11th. These events offer the opportunity to meet the students of Ontario colleges’ insurance programs, highlight your company culture, values and work life, share job postings and exchange contact info for future hires.
Participating students are currently enrolled in insurance programs at Centennial College, Conestoga College, Humber College, Fanshawe College, Mohawk College and Seneca College. This cohort of students graduate Spring 2022 and are eager to start their careers in insurance. Those who participate in our bursary program will also have their RIBO licence upon graduation.
