This training program will look to educate Brokers and Agents on different exposures, coverage options, resilience measures and Municipal abatement programs, to best council consumers on their insurance needs.
Risks that will be covered in this program include Flood, Wildfire, Wind, Hail and Earthquakes. For each of these natural catastrophe risks, the course will provide learners with a detailed understanding of:
the weather event itself including the potential severity that it can exhibit;
specific risks to insured property that it may pose;
a range of recommended resiliency measures that consumers can take to protect their property against these risks, from good resiliency measures up to the best possible resiliency measures;
typical insurance coverages that brokers and agents may recommend that consumers consider if the natural catastrophe is one that poses a risk in their geographical region.
