RIBO Examinations
Write your RIBO exam with confidence. We make it simple to register, schedule and complete your licensing requirements to become an Ontario Broker. RIBO Exams are administered in person at authorized IBAO Test Centres. The exam will be conducted online on a computer/laptop and proctored live by IBAO proctors on site.

Computer devices (laptops) will be provided for in-person examinations. Only IBAO devices and equipment are permitted.

Exam Guidelines & Policies
Number of Attempts
If you fail your RIBO Exam, you’re eligible to rewrite a second time by following the standard registration process.
After two failed attempts, you’re ineligible to rewrite your exam for three months following your second attempt.
Exam Fee
Each RIBO examination attempt is $325. The exam fee covers the development, coordination and administration of the exam.
There’s a separate licensing fee to obtain your license, which is coordinated by RIBO.
A fee of $325 is required for every exam attempt, including rewrites.
Exam Results and Remarks
Official score reports will be issued to candidates typically within two weeks of writing the examination.
Exams are routinely reviewed for irregularities and/or breaches of examination rules, which may cause a delay in the release of your score report.
RIBO does not permit remarking of exams or appeals of exam results.
All examination results are valid for 12 months from the date of the examination.
