Equivalency Preparation Course
RIB Act, Regulations & By-Laws Exam. This course is best suited for someone with extensive P&C insurance experience within Ontario (eg OTL license). Knowing the RIB Act (the legislation behind RIBO, Ontario’s Insurance Broker regulator) is a requirement for all working Insurance Brokers in Ontario. This course helps breakdown the RIB Act into suitable parts, and includes a practice exam.
Eligibility
Individuals who hold an active OTL license with FSRA (or have in the pass year)
Out-of-Province licensed insurance brokers*
Agents, Underwriters, and other individuals with extensive insurance knowledge may qualify to write this exam.
Note to Insurance Agents moving into the Broker channel: The Insurance Act is not the focus of this course, nor is it major part of these Equivalency exams.
