Carrying on a Legacy
Created in memory of Lyall Bell—a CABIP advocate and ally, education giant and supporter of broker advancement—this scholarship offers an annual bursary in honour of Lyall’s mentorship and generosity. Through his teaching at IBAO, Lyall inspired and helped thousands of brokers join the channel.
This scholarship is awarded to one individual per year, with a bursary for one of the following IBAO Licensing courses.
- Broker Launchpad—covering the cost of course enrollment and textbooks. This course is for an individual who aspires to be a RIBO L1 broker but doesn’t currently hold a license.
- Principal Pathway—covering the cost of course enrollment and textbook. This option is for a broker who has a RIBO L1 or L2 license and aspires to hold an L3 license, designed for individuals who aspire to be a brokerage manager or owner.
Details:
- The winner must also be an active CABIP member. Preference is extended to a member of the Black community.
- Fill out the form below including a short essay (300–600 words) sharing your story and explaining why you think you should be chosen.
- Applications must be received by October 1, 2024, 5:00PM.
- Recipients will be selected by a committee organized by CABIP and IBAO.
- The bursary doesn’t include the cost of the exam.
